Volunteers Needed for 42nd St. Anthony’s Triathlon

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., (April 14, 2025) – You may not be a triathlete, but you can still be a vital part of the 42nd St. Anthony’s Triathlon by volunteering your time.

Volunteers fill many roles around the site at Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg and on the course throughout the three-day event, April 25-27. Volunteers help participants and fans at many locations including athlete check-in, bike check-in, finish-line duty, athlete body marking, hydration stations, transition areas and merchandise sales. Since the Triathlon began, volunteers have been an important part of the event’s success.

Here are some specific locations where volunteers are needed: 

Friday, April 25

  • Meek & Mighty Check-In: 2:45-6:30 p.m. – 4 spots
  • Merchandise Sales: 11 a.m.-3 p.m. – 2 spots
  • Merchandise Sales: 3-6 p.m. – 2 spots 

Saturday, April 26

  • Meek & Mighty Body Marking: 6-10 a.m. – 17 spots
  • Meek & Mighty Transition: 6-11 a.m. – 15 spots
  • Merchandise Sales-11 a.m.-3 p.m. – 2 spots
  • Athlete Check-In: 2:30-6:30 p.m. – 9 spots
  • Merchandise Sales-2:30-6 p.m. – 2 spots

Sunday, April 27

  • Transition: 4:45-9 a.m. – 30 spots
  • Bike Course Marshal Pinellas Point Turn Around: 7-11:30 a.m. – 2 spots
  • Course Marshal Run Out: 6:30-10:30 a.m. – 6 spots
  • Swim Special Needs Table: 6:30-10:30 a.m. – 2 spots 
  • Course Marshal Run Out: 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. – 4 spots
  • Floater: 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – 10 spots

To register, visit the Triathlon Volunteer page. While there, select a specific volunteer task and provide name, other information and T-shirt size. School groups, clubs, churches and other not-for-profit organizations are invited to participate together as a group. Every race in the 2025 St. Anthony’s Triathlon has a USA Triathlon (USAT) designation. The Olympic-distance event is the North Florida State Championship Race. The Sprint-distance event is part of the 2025 USA Paratriathlon National Qualifier Series. The St. Anthony’s Meek & Mighty Triathlon is a part of the 2025 USA Triathlon Youth State Series, a 20-state event that provides additional opportunities for youth athletes to compete throughout the country.
