Just weeks after the completion of this year’s successful St. Anthony’s Triathlon, organizers are inviting participants to “Find Your Finish Line” earlier this year when registration for next year’s event kicks off this Sunday, June 1.

“We had such a fantastic race weekend this year and so many participants said they want to get the race on their calendar for next year,” said Patrick McGee, St. Anthony’s Triathlon manager and race director. “We are so happy that they want to come back, and we hope that opening registration earlier will help them plan their 2026 race year.”

Registration details for all athletes and volunteers are available for race weekend, April 24-26, 2026. Events for individual athletes and relay teams during the 43rd year will include the Olympic, Sprint and Meek & Mighty triathlons.  During the first week of registration, June 1–8, athletes can take advantage of the lowest pricing of the season—an early opportunity for those eager to secure their spot and start planning their 2026 race experience.

In 2025, the OlympicSprint and Meek & Mighty each carried designations from USA Triathlon.

When the St. Anthony’s Triathlon debuted in 1984, it welcomed around 600 athletes to swim, bike and run along the scenic waterfront and through the picturesque neighborhoods of St. Petersburg. The annual event now hosts thousands of individual athletes and relay teams over the course of the race weekend.

Last month, Marc Dubrick won the men’s St. Anthony’s Triathlon for the second consecutive year. On the women’s side, Grace Alexander overcame a brush with a stingray to stand atop the podium for the first time.

The three-day 2026 St. Anthony’s Triathlon Weekend includes:

  • The Olympic-Distance Triathlon, set for Sunday, April 26, is known for its talented professional field.
  • The Sprint Triathlon, also on April 26, features shorter distances than the Olympic-distance race along the same course.
  • The Meek & Mighty Triathlon, on Saturday, April 25, is a race for novice adults and children who are new to the sport of triathlon. The pool swim kicks off the race which finishes with a bike ride and run around downtown St. Petersburg.
  •

The Sunday events are scheduled to feature a swim in Tampa Bay; a bike ride that takes athletes by high rises and into quiet neighborhoods that bustle with excitement as athletes whiz by; and a run through one of St. Petersburg’s oldest neighborhoods.

The weekend also includes the St. Anthony’s Triathlon Sports & Fitness Expo, a showcase of the latest equipment for multisport athletes, workshops for athletes to prepare for the events and information tables featuring various St. Anthony’s Hospital and BayCare services.
